Justin C. Benkov of Flanders died Jan. 8 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. He was 31.
The son of Charles and Gerri Benkov, he was born Aug. 27, 1985, in Port Jefferson and graduated from Riverhead High School in 2003.
Mr. Benkov worked as an office manager at Carpet Center.
Family members said he enjoyed football.
Mr. Benkov is survived by his parents; his sister, Jacey Hernandez of Riverhead; and his children, Jaiden and Kody.
Cremation was private. Arrangements were in the care of McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
Memorial donations may be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
