Former Riverhead resident Charles K. Rollins Jr. of Moriches died Nov. 7 at his home. He was 50 years old.
He was born May 18, 1963, in Charlottesville, Va., to Enzie M. (Ross) and Charles K. Rollins Sr. and worked as a direct support assistant for Long Island Developmental Disability Services in Commack.
Predeceased by his father in 1995, Mr. Rollins is survived by his mother; his sons, J’shawn and Jahmarie, both of Bellport; his daughters, Jah’taya, of Bellport, and Shanice, of North Carolina; and his sisters, Pamela, of Flanders, Lorretta Gilliam of Riverhead and Janice Morris of Virginia.
The family will receive visitors Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will take place Thursday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Southold, with Pastor Thomas Edmond officiating. Interment will be at Riverhead Cemetery.
