Gloria M. Magel of Calverton died May 16 at the Riverhead Care Center. She was 85.
The daughter of Elizabeth (Walls) and George Cerillo, she was born Oct. 8, 1930, in Brooklyn and was a homemaker.
Family members said she enjoyed visiting the senior center.
Predeceased by her husband in 2011, Ms. Magel is survived by her children, Mary Elizabeth Fink of Calverton, Edward, of Germany, Steven, of Georgia, Arlene Beatty of Long Beach, Calif.; her brother, John Cerillo; nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors Sunday, May 22, from 2 to 5 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Cemetery in Riverhead. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
